Fayette County News is the official legal organ of Fayette County, GA. They were established in 1886 and are the only printed newspaper left in the area. They came under new management after the COVID-19 pandemic and the owners were looking to breathe new life into their public image and practices.

The newspaper needed a more modern look to stay relevant in the minds of the younger population of Fayette County, but it also wanted to remain genuine for those who have lived in the area for decades. The new masthead combines a classic, trustworthy serif typeface with a clean illustration of the historic courthouse, a beloved local landmark. The sun sets behind the courthouse's clock tower, reinforcing Fayette County News' reputation as honorable as justice and as reliable as the sun.
